We are talking about the performances of Ukrainian players in yesterday’s matches in the Champions League.

On November 26, nine matches in the Champions League took place, in which three Ukrainian football players took part.

All three started their matches on the bench and appeared on the football field during the match.

Daniil Ignatenko (Slovak)

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder came on in the 66th minute to help his side hold on for a draw against Milan, but within five minutes of his introduction Slovan were 1-3 down.

In the time spent on the field, Ignatenko managed to touch the ball 14 times and make 9 passes (one of them was inaccurate). Three times Danilo went to the ball and each time he did it successfully – only one player on both teams made more tackles than the Ukrainian.

Ignatenko also fouled twice, and his second offense actually led to a red card for his partner, who disagreed with the referee’s decision and “agreed” to be ejected.

Alexander Zinchenko (Arsenal)

The vice-captain of the Ukrainian national team entered the field in the 78th minute in the traditional position of left back. During this time, he completed eight passes and one of them was inaccurate (it was a long pass, while the other two long distance belts were accurate).

Also, Zinchenko once managed to enter horse wrestling, but did not win.

Artem Stepanov (Bayer Leverkusen)

In the 73rd minute of the match against Salzburg, a 17-year-old Ukrainian entered the field for Bayer, already setting a record for this appearance.

In the time allotted to him on the field, Stepanov was not very often in the center of events. He only touched the ball twice, made two accurate passes. Once he tried to take the ball from his opponent, but he failed. Artem’s responsibility includes a violation of the rules.
