The midfielder continues to be shortlisted by several top clubs
Midfielder of Donetsk Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team Georgy Sudakov spoke about his desire to move to one of the European leagues – Primera or the Premier League.
“Right now I’m focused on Shakhtar. I want to continue to develop and help the team succeed. In the future I want to try myself in one of the best leagues in Europe, but I’m going step by step.”
“I think my style is better suited to Spain or England. The league values technical skills and the Premier League will help me improve physically and tactically.”
In February, we recall, the Donetsk club officially extended the contract with Sudakov. The new agreement is valid until December 31, 2028. The player’s contract clause is 150 million euros.
In March of this year, Georgy said that in the winter Shakhtar received offers from Juventus and Napoli. It was also reported that the midfielder’s entourage was in preliminary negotiations with Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern. In April-May, Chelsea and Tottenham communicated with Sudakov’s representatives.
In the fall, it was reported that the midfielder was being watched by scouts from five Premier League clubs – Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle. Club representatives also sent their scouts to Miners’ matches in the UPL.
In total, this season Sudakov has played 18 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions – he has eight goals and three assists.
Today, Marino Pusic’s team will play a match with PSV in the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League.
