The miners take eighth place one round before the end of the general stage
Shakhtar U-19 guaranteed a place in the playoffs ahead of schedule UEFA Youth League 2024/25.
The miners drew with PSV in the fifth round of the general stage (1:1). Alexey Belik’s team has 10 points and eighth place in the table. One round before the end of the general stage, Shakhtar U-19 is four points ahead of Aston Villa (which is outside the playoff zone in 23rd place).
Belik’s team has the opportunity to compete for the top 6 of the general stage. In this case, the Ukrainians’ opponent will be a club from 17-22 places in the table. Otherwise, the Miners will meet a team from the UEFA Youth League Champions Path.
