Toni Kroos wins Golden Player Man 2024award given Tuttosport on the sidelines of the vote for the “Golden Boy”, which apparently ended up in the hands of Lamin Yamal. It may have been, or felt like, a career victory, given that the award now comes posthumously, following his retirement last summer after the European Championships in Germany. Kroos was probably hoping to also win the Ballon d’Or, which then fell into the hands of Rodri, but Real Madrid’s massive presence in the top positions diluted the prizes and votes between Vinicius Jr., Bellingham and Carvajal, as well as Kroos himself.
