Chukhadzhyan: I’m ready for big fights and fights with any champion

Karen is open to new proposals

Ukrainian welterweight boxer Karen Chukhadzhyan (24-3, 13 KOs) declared his readiness for championship fights.

“To be honest, even before the fight with Ennis I felt that I could become a world champion. Just need a chance. And as for the fans… They can praise you for one fight, but raze you to the ground in another. I’m very glad they liked it. After all, this is the whole essence of professional boxing. We need to make fights like this to keep people happy.”

“In this regard, I am pleased with myself. And in general I’m ready for big fights. I would box with any champion.”

Chukhajyan lost to Ennis in his last fight. The fight eventually lasted the entire intended distance of 12 rounds, and to determine the winner it was necessary to resort to the judges’ notes. All three referees unanimously gave the victory to Ennis: 119:107, 117:109, 116:110.

Let us remember that Chukhadzhyan had previously met with Ennis. The previous fight also took place in the USA in January 2023. The American confidently won on points, all the judges gave each round to Jaron (three times 120:108).

Chukhadzhyan’s liabilities now include three defeats in his professional career. Ennis, 27, remains undefeated in his third successful IBF title defense.

Well-known promoter Eddie Hearn announced his desire to organize a welterweight fight between the Ukrainian and American Blair Cobbs (17-1-1, 10 KOs).
