Belgium dropped from 6th to 8th place
National Ukraine national football team remained in 25th place in the updated FIFA ranking.
The blue-and-yellows, in comparison with the previous edition of the ranking (end of October), overtook Australia, but missed out on Ecuador, which won two victories in November.
Let us remind you that in the last international window, Sergei Rebrov’s team first drew with Georgia (1:1), and then beat Albania (2:1), thanks to which they managed to finish in second place in the B1 quartet and entered the playoffs for the right to promotion. Nations League Division A 2024/25.
The draw chose the Belgian team as Ukraine’s opponent in the playoffs, which in November suffered two minimal defeats (from Italy and Israel) and dropped in the FIFA rankings from 6th to 8th place. Accordingly, Portugal and the Netherlands made a synchronized rise, beating the team still coached by Domenico Tedesco.
In addition, Germany returned to the top 10 at the expense of Colombia, which lost to Ecuador. Argentina remains the leader of the world ranking, followed by France and Spain.
The 2024/25 Nations League playoff matches between Ukraine and Belgium will take place on March 20 and 23. In the first match, Rebrov’s team will be the hosts, the return match will take place on the Belgian field.
