Dyukov asked to wait for the results of the audit into reports of possible cases of corruption in Russian football

President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Dukov said that it was necessary to wait for the results of verification of information provided by the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, about possible corruption in Russian football.

On Tuesday, Fedorishchev said that one of the Krylia Sovetov officials informed him of a debt of 36 million rubles to “criminals involved in the corruption of the Russian football refereeing body.” On Thursday, following the results of the extraordinary general meeting, the RPL sent a letter to Fedorishchev asking him to provide the available information. The governor later said he passed the information on to law enforcement.

— What do you think of the words that he first had facts, then they disappeared: how about an opinion, an assessment?

“I can only comment on our conversation, during which Fedorishchev said that he has facts and is ready to pass them on to law enforcement.

— If the fact of collusion is confirmed, what will the RPL look like in the future?

– Let’s wait for the results of the check. As for the RFU, there are statutory documents, there are disciplinary and ethical codes, and decisions will be made in accordance with these. We already had one story: an investigation into Chaika. The court made decisions on sanctions, the RFU also made its decisions, including exclusion from football activities.

— Has the RFU already received requests from law enforcement?

“At the moment there are no requests from law enforcement agencies or structures,” reports the correspondent, according to Dyukov’s words.
