Juventus sporting director Giuntoli will meet with Jorge Mendes about the buyout of Conceicao and the potential transfer of defender Silva from Benfica

Francisco is performing well while on loan from Porto, while Antonio is dissatisfied with his position at the Lisbon club

A meeting between the sports director is expected in mid-December Juventus Cristiano Giuntoli and a famous agent Jorge Mendes.

It is reported that the parties will discuss two potential deals at once – buying out the winger’s contract Francisco Conceicao at Porto (issue price: 30 million euros), as well as the possible transfer of the defender Antonio Silva from Benficawho wants to change clubs in search of stable playing practice.

Let us remind you that Juventus rented Conceição from Porto in the last days of the summer transfer window. The rental itself cost the Turin residents 7 million euros, and another 3 million are provided as bonuses. The speedy, technical winger, who turns 22 in December, has performed well in Turin – 12 matches, two goals and five assists. At the same time, Francisco (the son of the famous football player and coach Sergio Conceicao) missed some of the matches due to injury.

In October it was reported that the Old Lady intended to buy out the contract of the diminutive (170 cm) Portuguese. Then it was reported that the transfer amount would be approximately 33-34 million euros, and the transaction itself would take place in the summer of 2025, at the end of Conceição’s lease agreement with Juventus.

As for the 21-year-old Silva, Juventus’ interest in him became known last week. The priority for the Turin team in the winter transfer window is to strengthen the center of defense. Juventus’ key center back Bremer is out for the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury, leaving Thiago Motta with limited options in that position.

Antoniou was the Eagles’ starting center back under Roger Schmidt, but lost his place in the lineup under Bruno Lager. Silva has not played in the championship since September. In total, he has played 11 matches this season, scored one goal and made one assist. His contract runs until the summer of 2027, and the estimated transfer value is 40 million euros.

Juventus is in 6th place in Serie A, but is only four points behind leaders Napoli. On Sunday, December 1, Thiago Motta’s team will play away against Lecce.

Benfica defeated Porto (4:1) in the last round of the Portuguese championship and is already ahead of the Dragons in terms of lost points, although it is still third in terms of points gained.
