UEFA released the pots before the draw.

The draw for qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada will take place in December.

The Ukrainian national team went into the second pot for the draw, with the best rating among the other teams. During the draw, each team will receive one opponent from the other pots (except their own).

Note that in the selection, the teams will be divided into 12 groups of 4 or 5 teams, the winners of the groups will qualify directly for the World Cup, while the second place will play in the playoffs. For Ukraine, a four-team group will be the priority, as Sergei Rebrov’s team will play in the Nations League playoffs in March.
