Ingulets goalkeeper Palamarchuk parried five penalties in a row, setting a new UPL record

In the last seven rounds of the Ukrainian championship, five penalties were scored against Ingulets – all of them were parried by Palamarchuk

Goalkeeper Ingulets Alexey Palamarchuk parried five penalties in a row, setting a new one UPL record.

Five penalties in a row were also missed by then-Vorskla goalkeeper Dmitry Riznyk in the 2021/22 season. The only significant difference is that then Riznyk saved four of the five shots himself, and another shot hit the goal post. Alexey Palamarchuk, in turn, parried all five blows.

The impressive streak of 33-year-old goalkeeper Ingulets began in the 9th round, when Palamarchuk saved a penalty kick from Karpaty forward Igor Neves. In the 10th round, Alexey parried a shot from LNZ winger Shota Nonikashvili, and in the 11th round, a shot from Alexandria striker Alexander Filippov. Then, in the 14th round, Shakhtar midfielder Georgy Sudakov could not beat Palamarchuk from the 11-meter mark, and today the Ingulets goalkeeper reflected the shot of Vorskla midfielder Alexander Sklyar in the opening match of the 15th round.

Palamarchuk made his UPL debut at the age of 30, playing for Chernomorets against Zorya in the 2021/22 season. Since the summer of 2022, the goalkeeper has been defending the colors of Ingulets, in which he has been the main one for the third season.

Ingulets himself scored his debut victory this season in today’s match with Vorskla (3:0). Vasily Kobin’s team is still last in the standings, behind the higher Obolon and Left Bank in terms of additional indicators (all three clubs have nine points each).

Ingulets will fight his next match on December 8 against Zarya.
