Yuri Vernidub’s team beat the Zhytomyr team and rose to fourth place in the UPL
Krivbass beat on home field Polesie in the central match of the 15th round Ukrainian Premier League – 3:1.
The Krivoy Rog team opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the match, with Yegor Tverdokhlib scoring. Polesie did little to threaten the home team’s goal in the first half.
After the break, Imad Ashur’s team moved forward with great strength. In the 63rd minute, Alexey Gutsulyak equalized the score with a shot off the post. Krivbass took the lead again 10 minutes later, Tverdokhlib scored the second goal in a counterattack. And finally, Egor scored a hat-trick, hitting the goal after a corner kick.
Krivbass beat Polesie with 25 points and rose to fourth place in the UPL. Zhytomyr residents have 23 points. The Ashur team has not won the Ukrainian Championship for six games in a row.
In the next match, Krivbass will play away against Chernomorets on December 7. Polesie will meet with Rukh on December 4.
