Brazilian “Botafogo” became the last participant in the 2025 Club World Cup.
The Rio de Janeiro team secured their place in the tournament by winning the Copa Libertadores. In the final of the tournament, Botafogo defeated Atlético Mineiro with a score of 3:1.
Thus, 32 clubs will compete in the Club World Championship:
12 European teams (Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern, PSG, Inter, Borussia, Porto, Atlético Madrid, Benfica, Juventus, Red Bull Salzburg”);
Six South American teams (Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo, River Plate, Boca Juniors);
Four teams from the CONCACAF zone (Monterrey, Seattle Sounders, Leon, Pachuca);
Four Asian teams (Al-Hilal, Urawa Red, Al-Ain, Ulsan);
Four African teams (Al Ahly, Wydad, Sundowns, Tunisia);
A representative from Oceania: Auckland City.
Last participant InterMiami admitted as host of the competition. The 2025 Club World Cup will take place from June 15 to July 13 in 11 cities across the United States.
