Andrey worked at the Kharkov club for four and a half years
General manager Metalist 1925 Andrey Nedelin officially announced that he is leaving his position.

And that’s why I won’t stop saying “Thank you!” Alexander Evgenievich Skakun and his like-minded people for a long-term alliance. “Eye to eye” met the war in Kharkov, did not disband, and spent a total of three seasons in the UPL. The second “clinical death” was experienced after the massive destruction of the production facilities of the AES company last summer. We received reliable support in the person of Vladimir Nosov and his company WhiteBit in August 2023. Thanks to this we were able to breathe deeply.”

Metalist 1925 had a hard time entering the season. Under the leadership of Viktor Skripnik, the team, previously relegated from the UPL, missed the chance to return to the elite, losing to Left Bank in the semi-finals of the Tournament of Four. In Group B of the First League, the Kharkiv team started with three points in four rounds.
Under new coach Patrick van Leeuwen, who took over on August 20, results gradually improved. As a result, Metalist 1925 finished second in its group, only two points behind Kudrovka. In the spring of 2025, the Kharkiv team will play in the Championship Group, competing for the right to return to the Premier League.
