Botafogo became the last participant in the 2025 Club World Cup

Botafogo became the last participant Club World Cup 2025.

Lone Star beat Atletico Mineiro in the 2024 Copa Libertadores final (3:1). Botafogo secured the last ticket to the 2025 World Cup from South America. Previously, the winners of the Copa Libertadores of the three previous seasons qualified for the tournament. Let us remind you that Europe will be represented by 12 participants: Chelsea, real Madrid, Manchester City, Bavaria, PSG, Inter, Porto, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Atlético And Salzburg. Four teams will compete from Asia: Al-Hilal, Urawa Red Diamonds, Al Ain And Ulsan Hyundai. Africa will be represented Al Ahli, Widad, Esperance And Mamelodi Sundowns.

Oceania delegated one participant – Auckland City. Four teams represent CONCACAF – Monterrey, Seattle Sounders, Leon And Pachuca. The hosts of the tournament took another place Inter Miami after winning the MLS regular season.

The Club World Championship in the new format will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The tournament will take place in the USA, and 32 clubs (8 groups of 4 teams) from six confederations will take part. The draw will take place on December 5, 2024 in Miami.

The final of the tournament will take place in New York at MetLife Stadium. The stadium seats 82,500 and is home to the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets.
