Samara “Wings of the Soviets” defeated St. Petersburg “Zenith” in the match of the 17th round of the Russian First WORLD League (RPL).
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the guests. Among the winners, Ivan Sergeev scored twice (17th and 28th minutes), Ivan Oleynikov also scored (18th). The hosts scored goals from Maxim Glushenkov (4) and Nuraly Alip (72).
Zenit suffered their second defeat of the RPL season and leads the table with 39 points. “Wings” (18) climbs to 10th place.
In the next match, the blue-white-blues will host Akron Togliatti, Igor Osinkin’s team will play away against Rostov. Both matches will take place on December 7.
