Salah equals Rooney’s Premier League record for matches including a goal and an assist

In the match with Manchester City (2:0), the Egyptian first assisted Kodi Gakpo, after which he scored himself

Forward Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the 13th round match nuclear submarine against Manchester City (2:0) repeated the record of the ex-Manchester United and Everton striker Wayne Rooney.

This match was Salah’s 36th, which included at least one goal and an assist on his part. Rooney also has 36 similar matches on his record.

Let us remind you that in yesterday’s game, Mohamed Salah assisted Cody Gakpo in the first half, after which, towards the end of the match, he independently converted the penalty.

Liverpool, thanks to this victory, only strengthened its leadership in the Premier League. The Merseysiders have a nine-point lead over lower-ranking Arsenal and Chelsea, and eleven points over Manchester City.

Mohamed Salah has played 20 matches in all competitions this season, scoring 13 goals and 11 assists.

The 32-year-old forward’s contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025. The Egyptian himself admitted that he had not received any offers to extend the agreement, saying that he felt “more outside the club than in it.”

Liverpool will play their next match on December 4. Arne Sloth’s team will be visiting Newcastle.
