Kolos created a sensation in the home match of the 15th round of the UPL, achieving a draw against Dynamo (1:1)
President Kolosa Andrey Drought commented on his team’s home draw against Dynamo (1:1) in the 15th round match UPL.
“It was a very good game – both from Dynamo and from us. This draw is not like a victory for us, but we are satisfied with the result.”
“What did I want to see? Victory! Run, score – beautiful football. But, in principle, we played according to the result – well done, if you approach it pragmatically.”
“Today we were lucky – it flew after a rebound, usually it’s the other way around – we hit and hit, but the rebound doesn’t help us. But we are working. Today our functionaries reported to me that during training we have already hit 20 shots on goal 15 times. There is dynamics, because when the season started there were 8. I like the way we are playing now. The way our young guys from U-19 play, this is a new generation. Did you see what Pakholyuk did in goal today?”
“Did management have any opinions about changing the coach? Never! This is far-fetched gossip. At the beginning of the season, we agreed that we would completely rebuild the team, both psychologically and physically, and rely on youth. We invited Pozdeev from U-19 so that he could bring the players with him. So we have rejuvenated the team and it runs and understands what the coach wants from it. We are able to implement our plans, while the standings do not highlight this, but we are working.”
“Did you promise the team bonuses? No, I didn’t promise – I gave! We respect Dynamo, so I gave a small bonus to the players. Although there were no promises about this before the match. The guys played as usual.”
Dynamo managed to score a quick goal in the match with Kolos – Vladimir Brazhko scored in the 5th minute. Kolos restored the status quo before the break – Daniil Alefirenko decided to take a long-range shot, and the ball ricocheted from Taras Mikhavko into the net of Georgy Bushchan’s goal.
In the UPL standings, Kolos is in 12th position – its lead from the play-off zone is only two points.
Alexander Pozdeev’s team will play their next match on December 8 at home against Obolon.
