“I’m here to be the starter. As I said, for me this first year was about setting. It’s not easy to go through so many changes, like language and habits. I have a great relationship with Navas, but, as he himself said, it’s not been easy to live this competition. Things must surely change“, revealed Donnarumma.
PSG appear to have made a decision on who will take the starting position in the team’s goal for next season. According to the French newspaper ‘L’Équipe’, the club is determined to sell one of its two goalkeepers in the transfer window, and the name of Keylor Navas appears as the favorite to leave the team.
According to the information, the PSG is inclined to keep Donnarumma as his main goalkeeper, mainly due to the age difference between him and the Costa Rican, since the Italian is 12 years younger and can stay for many years as the holder of the position. Navas would be valued at 10 million euros (about R$50 million) and should be sold outright.
The two goalkeepers have taken turns starting in PSG’s goal this season, with both having played exactly the same number of games so far, with 22 each. Because they are high caliber players, there was a lot of discussion throughout the year about who would take the starting position and who would be passed over by the club.
