Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Ainars Bagatskis commented on the performance of his wards against Italy in the selection for the 2023 World Cup (89:97).
Bagatskis singled out the disgusting performance of the players after the break and congratulated the Italian national team on winning a tense match.
“We did a good job in the first half. In the third quarter we lost aggression and Italy found the rhythm, they scored a lot, I think a lot of free kicks. Listen, if one team shoots 27 free throws in two quarters, and the second – six, then this is too much, ”the blue-yellow coach said at a press conference.
