8.63 million for Dynamo, 15.64 million for Shakhtar. How much have our clubs already earned in European competitions

Poltava Vorskla has the smallest “income”

The qualifying rounds of three European cup competitions have ended. Of the five Ukrainian clubs that started this season in European competition, three got the European football autumn – Vorskla and Zorya moved into the category of spectators. But Ukraine will be represented at the group stage of each of the tournaments: Shakhtar will play in the Champions League, Dynamo in the Europa League, Dnipro-1 in the Conference League. And these three clubs have already replenished the club’s treasury quite well. Sport Arena has calculated how much Ukrainian clubs in Europe have earned in the qualifying rounds.

Vorskla: 450 thousand euros

The Poltava team, having lost on aggregate to AIK in the second round of the Conference League qualification, guaranteed themselves 450,000 euros. UEFA pays 100 euros to clubs for participating in each of the qualifying rounds – 350 thousand euros are “estimated” relegation in the second round of qualification. It is likely that Vorskla will receive a certain amount for “not getting” into the group.

Dawn: 650 thousand euros

The Luhansk club stopped at the third round of the Conference League qualification. Getting to this stage of selection itself guaranteed the club 550 thousand euros, another 100 thousand euros are paid by UEFA for performance at each stage.

Dnipro-1: 2.94 million euros

The Dnipro club, having been knocked out in the playoff round of the Europa League qualification, moved to the group stage of the Conference League. For the performance at this stage of the third most important European Cup, Dnipro-1 is guaranteed to receive 2.94 million euros. Also, the club is entitled to payments for the rating, as well as prize money for performances. So, each victory in the group is estimated at 500 thousand euros, a draw – at 166 thousand. The first place in the quartet will bring the club an additional 650 thousand euros, the second – 300 thousand. Access to the 1/8 finals of the tournament – 600 thousand euros.

Dynamo: 8.63 million euros

Dynamo, having failed to beat Benfica in the playoff round of the Champions League qualification, will spend the European Cup autumn in the Europa League. But in July-August, the white-blues have already earned 8.63 million euros. Five million Dynamo are guaranteed to receive for reaching the playoffs of the Champions League qualification, 3.63 for getting into the Europa League group. In addition, the team is entitled to payments from UEFA for the club rating.

Also, the white-blues will be able to earn on the field: each victory in the Europa League group is estimated at 630 thousand euros, a draw – 210 thousand. The team that takes first place in the group will receive 1.1 million euros, the second place winner – 550 thousand. The winner of the second place will receive another 500 thousand for participation in the play-offs. An exit to the 1/8 finals will replenish the club’s treasury by 1.2 million euros.

Miner: €15.64 million

Shakhtar can count on 15.64 million euros, which starts immediately from the Champions League group stage. There will also be marketing payments to the club, well, and, as in each of the European competitions, bonuses for wins and draws.

For each victory in the group, Shakhtar will earn 2.8 million euros, for a draw – 930 thousand euros. Reaching the 1/8 finals of the tournament will bring the club 9.6 million euros.
