Newcastle officially announced the acquisition of Real Madrid striker Sociedad Alexander Isak.
The 22-year-old Swede has signed a long-term contract with Newcastle. Earlier it was reported that the amount of the transfer will be 60 million pounds. This is a record deal in the history of both clubs.
Isak moved to Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2019. The Swede scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 39 games for Real Sociedad last season.
The club from San Sebastian finished last season in sixth place in the Spanish Primera table and qualified for the Europa League.
Isak has scored one goal in two games for Sociedad this season. Newcastle in the Premier League started with a series without defeat in three rounds – two draws and one victory.
