Traore: If the coach wants, I’ll be ready to play a few minutes with the next opponent

The striker can enter the field on September 2 in the UPL match against Rukh

Shakhtar forward Lassina Traore explained why he decided to stay in the team and promised to return to the field in the next game of the Ukrainian championship.

“I decided to stay, first of all, because of my love for the club and the country, which welcomed me very well when everything was fine. In Ukraine, I felt at home from the first day. Also all my teammates and management supported me after my injury until today. And I believe that respect is one of the main values of life in Burkina Faso.”

“Yes, I will join the team, but the final decision is up to the coach. If he wants me to play a few minutes with the next opponent, I will be ready and will do my best. So, yes, I can play in Lviv.”

“I want to tell Shakhtar fans that Traore is back with even more desire and motivation. It won’t be easy looking at what the team has gone through. But we will fight together for the honor of the club in the Ukrainian championship and the Champions League.”

Traore missed most of last season with a knee injury. The forward has already been fully engaged in the general group at the pre-season training camp in Slovenia.

Shakhtar is in 6th place in the UPL standings. In the next round, the team of Igor Jovicevich will play with Rukh on September 2.
