International Football Federation (Fifa ) has decided to reinstate the membership of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the organisation’s press service reports.
Previously, the Bureau of the FIFA Council suspended AIFF’s membership of the organization due to unlawful interference in its work by third parties. Later, the Indian federation indicated that it had fulfilled all the conditions set and asked to reconsider the decision of FIFA.
FIFA noted that it had received confirmation of the conditions met, under which the AIFF administration restored full control of the organization’s activities
Thus, India once again has the opportunity to host the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled for October 2022.
