Torpedo coach Savichev on the RPL match with Rostov: “It’s just chaos. At the end we saw a circus. How is it possible?”

Head Coach “Torpedo” Nikolai Savichev considers absurd the decision of the judge of “Rostov” twice interrupted the penalty in stoppage time in the match of the eighth round of the MIR of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

The meeting in Khimki ended with the score 1:0 in favor of Rostovites. In the 9th minute added to the second half, Rostov defender Maxim Osipenko converted a penalty. Before that, chief referee Yan Bobrovsky twice asked to stop shots from 11 yards out, which were both denied by Torpedo goalkeeper Yegor Baburin.

– What emotions do you feel in the last seconds of the match?

– Emotions run high. I’m just sorry for our guys. They fought well, fought and just ruined the game. I have never seen anything like it in my life. It’s just kind of a mess. At the end we saw a circus. Just a circus. I don’t know how it’s possible. That’s how they judge us here, but what would happen in Rostov? The guys are young: they fought, played with dignity. I think we are on the right track. Just emotions over the edge. It’s not a football match, it’s just biased refereeing.

– At the end of the second half, you left the bench for a room under the stands. Where?

“A common phenomenon: need, nerves. I went to the bathroom and everything.

– Did you manage to say something to the guys in the locker room? How is the atmosphere there?

– The atmosphere is not great. He thanked the guys for the game and their dedication. We are going in the right direction, there is still a possibility to fix everything, and we will.

– They say that negotiations are underway regarding transfers. How many additional players can join the team?

“It’s too early to talk about it, but the work is in progress,” Savichev told .

According to the results of eight rounds, “Torpedo” is on the 15th line in the standings and has one point in the assets. The last six matches (including the cup) have ended in defeat for the team.
