On Wednesday, the RFU announced the expanded roster of the 35-man Russian national team for the September training camp. Earlier, media reported that Kovalenko received an invitation to play for the Armenian national team.
– I am extremely happy to be at least in the extended list of the Russian national team. I will do my best to come up with the final list. I want to benefit the national team with my game.
