One of the reasons for Tuchel’s resignation was the coach’s reluctance to acquire Ronaldo – media

One of the reasons for leaving Thomas Tuché as head coach chelsea was his reluctance to acquire “Manchester United” Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

According to the publication, Chelsea co-owner Todd Bowley did not accept a categorical refusal from the specialist. Tuchel, in turn, was unhappy with the fact that he became the team’s transfer manager.

The resignation of the German became known earlier on Wednesday. Chelsea’s coaching staff will prepare for the upcoming matches and a new head coach is expected to be appointed shortly.

Tuchel has been in charge of Chelsea since January 2021. He led the Londoners to victory in the 2020/21 Champions League, 2021 UEFA Super Cup and 2021 Club World Cup. Chelsea scored 10 points in the current season of the English championship after six rounds and is in sixth place.
