O Atlético-MG is starting to decide its future on the SAF. The Rooster can join Bahia, Vasco, Cruzeiro and other national football teams that joined the Football Society Law movement. The club released this Thursday, 8, an official note on the subject and announced that it took the first step to start this institutional revolution.

According to what Atlético-MG said in its official note, the club’s collegiate body met and discussed the SAF. Commanded by Sergio Coelho, the group decided to approve the Football Society Law. However, it is still not possible to move forward on the matter and everyone will wait until November, after the council’s vote, to proceed with the theme.

In a meeting held yesterday, Wednesday, September 7, Atlético’s collegiate body, formed by President Sérgio Coelho, Vice President José Murilo Procópio and the 4 Rs, approved the adhesion to Law 14.193/21, to transform Galo in SAF“, wrote Atlético-MG on its social networks. However, this new phase of the club should only happen after the approval of the council.

The decision of the collegiate will be submitted to the Deliberative Council of the Club next November. Initially, the quotas will belong, in their entirety (100%), to Clube Atlético Mineiro“, he continued. According to what was released by Atlético-MG, the process of joining the SAF is still in the beginning, but the tendency is that 100% of the quotas belong to Galo at first.

The measure aims to prepare the institution for possible entry of investors, since the process of exchanging information with them is in progress.
