Member of the Supervisory Board of Khimki Roman Tereshkov in an interview with a correspondent, he gave a description of Nikolai Olenev, who is considered by the club for the post of general manager.
Former CEO ofKhimki Dmitry Ulyanov told he was passing the business on to a successor, but declined to give his name. A club source told that Olenev will become the new CEO. Later, Olenev himself confirmed that his candidacy was under consideration.
– Ulyanov said that he is transferring Khimki’s affairs to the next general director. It’s true?
– If Ulyanov decided to transfer cases, let him transfer them. We have a board of founders that decides who will lead as director. What happens now, in my opinion … The board of founders must decide whether Ulyanov will continue to work or whether he will be fired and someone will replace him.
We have to put things in order. For two years, no one exercised such control over the club.
– Yesterday, Nikolai Olenev said that he was considered for the position of general director. Will he be nominated?
– He was Deputy Minister of Sports of the Moscow region. He is a professional person. I can’t say anything more. If the board of founders wants to take him on as manager, that’s their right.
“You know him personally.
– Of course, I’m familiar. If he couldn’t, then, believe me, on my team, he wouldn’t be a deputy minister. But a football club and the Ministry of Sports are two different things. In the club, other people make the decisions – this is the board of the founders. If they want to hire him as a business manager, event organizer… As a sportsman, I know him quite well. He is a professional,” Teryushkov said.
After eight rounds of the Russian Premier League (RPL) MIR, Khimki scored seven points and finished 13th in the standings. The club has already managed to change two head coaches.
