O Corinthians thrashed the palm trees 4-0 this Saturday afternoon, 10th, at Allianz Parque, and advanced to the final of the Brazilian Women’s Championship. With the triumph in the first leg of the semifinal, at Arena Corinthians, the alvinegras played for any draw to stay alive in the search for the fourth title, but won the aggregate score by 6 to 1.
The current two-time national champion, who also lifted the trophy in 2018, had goals from Adriana (penalty), Gabi Portilho and Jennifer, twice, to confirm the victory over rivals from São Paulo. On the other hand, the Palestrinas postponed the dream of the unprecedented title.

The final of the Brazilian Women’s Championship still has no date confirmed by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). In the other semifinal, Sao Paulo and International decide the vacancy next Monday, 12, at 17:30 (Brasília time), at the Morumbi stadium. The first match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The game
Better at the start of the game, Corinthians opened the scoring in the eighth minute, with a penalty taken by Adriana. The move was signaled by the referee after a VAR review, in a touch of the arm by Day Silva inside the area. The alvinegra midfielder did not waste the opportunity and scored: 0 to 1 for the alvinegras.
Timão reached the second ball in the net in the 44th minute, with a goal from Gabi Portilho. In a beautiful collective play, Arthur Elias’ team counted on a cross from Jaque from the left for the midfielder’s precise header: 0 to 2. With the aggregate score of 4 to 1, alviverdes needed three goals to force the dispute of the penalty shootout.
Corinthians turned the victory into a rout in the second stage. At four minutes, Jheniffer received the pass from Gabi Morais and touched the goalkeeper’s exit: 0 to 3 (5 to 1 on aggregate). The attacker scored again at 15, when she finished with the chest after a foul charged from the left: 0 to 4 and classification to the decision forwarded.
