The team of referees who will work the match of the second round of the group round of the Champions League has been identified.

UEFA has decided who will be in charge of the match between Donetsk Shakhtar and Scottish Celtic from Glasgow in the second round of the Champions League group stage.

According to the organization’s official website, the Swedish team of referees led by 33-year-old Glenn Nyberg will work at the meeting.

Compatriots Mahbod Beiji and Andreas Cederqvist will help him on the lines, the reserve referee is Mohammed al-Hakim.

Note that Glenn Nyberg has already managed this season in European competition matches involving Ukrainian teams. The first game of the second qualifying round of the Champions League between Dynamo Kyiv and Fenerbahce took place under his watch. That match took place on July 20, and ended in a 0:0 draw.

Recall that due to the mass invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine, Shakhtar was forced to host rivals in European competitions on neutral territory. The Pitmen’s game against Celtic will take place in the Polish capital, Warsaw, on Wednesday, September 14, starting at 19:45 Kyiv time.

Earlier, Shakhtar’s bid for the Champions League against Scottish Celtic was revealed.
