Midfielder of Shakhtar Taras Stepanenko commented on the result and the atmosphere during the match of the second round of the Champions League group stage with Celtic (1:1).
“We feel great here in Poland. I would like to thank Legia and Poland for such a warm welcome. There were a lot of Ukrainians in the stands today – it was very touching. The Celtic fans also did their best and helped to create a wonderful atmosphere. I think we should be happy with one point this time.”
Recall that Shakhtar plays home matches in the Champions League in Warsaw at the stadium of the Polish Army.
Shakhtar in the match of the second round of the Champions League group stage drew with Celtic – 1:1. The Pitmen bounced back thanks to a goal from Mikhail Mudryk.
The Pitmen scored four points and are second in the group. In the next round, Shakhtar will play against Real Madrid on 5 October.
