Celtic manager Postekoglou: If we talk about the result, we could count on more if we scored one more goal

In the next round, Shakhtar will play against Real Madrid on October 5, while Celtic will visit Leipzig

Celtic head coach Angelos Postekoglou commented on a draw with miner (1:1) in the match of the second round of the group stage Champions League.

“The first 55-60 minutes of the game were important. We should not forget that we played away from home, and away matches are always tense. Here we played with sustainability, points and maximum goals in mind. Fighting at the highest level is always difficult, but it’s worth accepting what we’ve got.”

“Yes, we scored a goal and took one point. If we continue to play like this, I expect good results. If we talk about the game, it was good. If we talk about the result, we could count on more if we scored one more goal. You can’t change anything, but in general the game turned out to be good.”

Shakhtar in the match of the second round of the Champions League group stage drew with Celtic – 1:1. The Pitmen bounced back thanks to a goal from Mikhail Mudryk.

The Pitmen scored four points and are second in the group. Celtic have one point and third position. In the next round, Shakhtar will play against Real Madrid on 5 October. Celtic goes to visit Leipzig.
