THE Liverpool is at the end of Champions League and will face the Real Madrid on the 28th of May to try to take his seventh Champions League trophy. But before the ball even rolled, the Reds took advantage of the fans’ excitement with the spot in the competition decision and announced the launch of their No1 jersey for the 2022/23 season.
The uniform will continue with the famous red and has lost the details that it still has on the shirt of this European round of 201/22. More basic and with light white details, Liverpool’s new home shirt will honor the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy. The fact happened 55 years ago and 97 people died on the occasion. The number of deceased will be on the inside of the piece.

The Hillsborough tragedy happened in the 1989 FA Cup semi-final. In that game, Liverpool faced Nottingham Forest and, throughout the match, disaster happened and caused 97 people to be trampled and also crushed in the bars of the stands. In all, there were 95 men, children and women between 10 and 67 years of age.
The event is remembered to this day and the Premier League always makes mention of the Hills Borough tragedy. But years later, Liverpool have decided they will wear the 2022/23 season jersey to honor the victims of the accident. It will not be used in the Champions League final on May 28 against Real Madrid.

In need of a miracle after losing the first game, at Anfield, by 2 to 0, the Yellow Submarine went on top of the opponent and managed to equalize the score in the first half. However, in the second stage, Luis Diaz changed the game for the Reds and the team managed to secure the comeback and a spot in the grand final of the Champions League.
