Arvid Lindblad, a 16-year-old Brit who finished third in Italian F4 last season, will compete in Formula 3 for the Prema team in 2024. Earlier this year it was announced that he had been accepted into Red Bull’s youth program.
Arvid only made his debut in single-seater racing last year and has made rapid progress this season, with eight wins and 15 podiums in three different F4 championships. Of course, before that he achieved considerable success in European karting.
He has already started preparations for next year and will take part in the Formula 3 post-season tests in Jerez, Barcelona and Imola. But eventually he gets behind the wheel of a Formula 4 car again and heads to the start of the November race in Macau.
Rene RosinTeam boss Prema: “Arvid has impressed us a lot this year and we believe he has the potential to also succeed in Formula 3. We will do our best to make his transition as easy as possible and help him gain speed quickly although he faces a difficult season. Our selection for 2024 is now complete and I am very happy with it.”
Arvid Lindblad: “I am very happy to continue our partnership with Prema in Formula 3 in 2024. We had a great year in F4 and were title contenders all season. Prema has also done very well in F3 this year, so it is a great honor for me to move to the next level of my career with her.
Together with Prema we did well during the tests, made progress and now I am looking forward to the start of the new season.”
