The successful Haas F1 stage in Spielberg had barely finished when the team sent out a preview of the British Grand Prix, where they hope to build on their success…
Oliver Berman, reserve driver: “When I found out I would be taking part in the first six practice sessions with Haas F1, and saw that one would be held at Silverstone, I started counting the days! This is a great circuit, leaving the pit lane for the British fans is something you can only dream of.”
Nico Hulkenberg: “The British Grand Prix is one of those events that everyone looks forward to. It’s a racing classic, a fast circuit with my favourite corners in Formula 1. Everyone loves racing at Silverstone. We can’t help but mention the British fans – whether it’s hot or rainy, they’re in the stands and supporting everyone.”
Kevin Magnussen: “Silverstone has a cool circuit and a great race, the local fans are real Formula 1 fans. The weekend is always unpredictable, it rains a lot there, I always look forward to this stage.
The track is not very technical, but with Maggotts and Becketts corners it is very fast. The best part of this weekend takes place at the race track, although the food is also delicious. I always have curry – it has become the national dish of almost all of Britain. This is a home race for many team members, so it will be a special week.”
