The national golfer was unable to ratify his status as the top seed in his group and fell to South Korean-American Kevin Na. Thus, he said goodbye to the contest with one win and two losses.

With a defeat in the last flag, Joaquín Niemann said goodbye to the Match Play World Cup , held in Austin, Texas. Although he entered as the 14th seed and is the highest ranked in his group, the talagantino could not impose his favorite status and was eliminated from the contest after adding his second defeat this time against the South Korean American Kevin Na who beat him by a hole difference.

Talagan’s man took the lead at the second stop, with a birdie. However, in the sixth, the American tied the duel. Then Joaco moved up to 11, but again he couldn’t hold and Na was left with flags 13 and 15.

On 16 Niemann equalized and on 17 there was no difference, winning everything until the last station. There, it was the one who was born in Seoul who would get the birds of the victory which also meant a qualification for the round of 16.

The national golfer finished in third place in his group he was therefore unable to obtain the only ticket to the round of the best 16 in a competition which, unlike the others, is played in groups and by hole won and not by stroke.
