The two most important golfers in the country have joined the organizing team of the continental tournament. On the occasion, they took the opportunity to highlight the magnitude of the event and underline its importance beyond the sporting level.
Two new luxury ambassadors join the organizing team of the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games which to date has recognized personalities of Chilean sport.
So it is this Saturday Ambassador Program of the Continental Tournament announced that outstanding golfers Joaquin Niemann and Guillermo “Mito” Pereira They have been recruited from the staff who aim to inspire and increase the visibility of the event.
Both athletes are the best national representatives of the discipline today, achieving exceptional performances in the most renowned competitions: PGA Tour and LIV Golf . Likewise, they achieved memorable performances in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games : Pereira swept the bronze medal with a fourth place finish, while Niemann finished in tenth place .
Upon his arrival in the Santiago 2023 team, the latter admitted to being “very proud. Being local and having America’s eyes on us will be amazing. In my role, I want to inspire children and young people. My goal will be to activate the community around sports” .
As his colleague underlined the importance of the event which will take place between October and November this year: “I know the relevance of the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games for the host country. I saw it in Lima and it impacts the whole city. The Games are not just for athletes, they are for everyone. he noted, adding that “I am very happy that they are made in our country, to be able to contribute my experience to their heritage” he concluded.
It should be noted that the continent’s most distinguished golfers will meet on the courses of the Prince of Wales Country Club of La Reina place which will be the theater of the competition between Thursday 2 and Sunday 5 November .
