Mito Pereira debuts as leader of St. Andrews Bay Championship

The native of Pirque made his debut in Scotland, in one of the competitions of the Asian Tour, a circuit that awards points for the world ranking. Meanwhile, Cristóbal del Solar was leaving from the top of Idaho, via the Korn Ferry.

Mito Pereira started his participation in the St. Andrews Bay Championship in a good way an Asian Tour tournament that includes the participation of various personalities from LIV Golf, where there is also another Chilean: Carlos Bustos who qualified for the second week in a row through a sponsor exemption.

The national golfer leads the Albertsons Boise Open, the first of four playoff events and where the possibility of reaching the maximum circuit is at stake.

Del Solar has a map 62 impacts (-9), after concluding a perfect day, with seven birds and an eagle.

The Chilean has already secured his partial status on the Korn Ferry Tour for next season by having reached the final stage. Progressing through the top 75 rankings grants you full status, but if he hits the top 30, he would keep the card for the PGA Tour. Currently, March 49, but if he puts in an outstanding performance, that would pretty much settle his way to the top flight.
