“In Argentina, I have three times as many”: foreign YouTubers are shocked after visiting a Chilean supermarket

An Argentinian couple was surprised after visiting a supermarket of Pepper and realize the price difference with the trans-Andean country.

They are the content creators of the YouTube channel, Travel live who usually share their thoughts on the destinations they visit. On this platform alone, they have over a million subscribers.

“Today we came to see the cheapest supermarket in Chile” they began to explain in the video where they talked about their experience going through a Wholesaler 10.

The Argentine couple explained that during the visit to our country they chose to go to a branch of the Mayorista 10 supermarket. in order to find out if the prices were suitable as they had heard.

“This supermarket is not located in main communities like Lo Barnechea or Las Condes. We had to come to a more distant town,” they said shortly before starting the trip.

When we arrived, one of the first things that struck us was the offers which were promoted at the entrance to the store. “The number of offers highlighted on the posters seems impressive to me and at very good prices” they said.

When they were inside the store, they were surprised that the merchandise was stored in large boxes or bags.

After taking a long tour through the aisles of products like sugar, tea, milk and canned goods, they assured that the place was very convenient to buy the merchandise of the month. This, not only because of the cost of the products, but also because there are a wide variety of brands to choose from.

“Look at how much oil there is. In other words, it is a very varied supermarket,” they said.

“I love this oil,” they added, focusing on the bottle of a popular oil brand, which was priced at 2,790 Chilean pesos. “I can get it in Argentina at three times the price or more” .

The Argentines also pointed out that there were several brands of yerba mate. “Do you Chileans drink mate like us? Do you like my friend? they asked on camera.

Although they always found a long list of alternative products, the same was not true for bread. But that did not discourage them. “There’s not much bread option, there’s only one option, but if you want to have breakfast it’s perfect” they condemned.

During their stay in Chile, the Argentinian YouTubers were also shocked by the level of security inside the supermarket. Specifically, they referred to the number of guards roaming the halls.

“What made me very curious was how a security guard had to open the door for us to enter. It’s like not everyone is allowed in,” they mused.

“There is a lot of security, they check you all the time. Looks like they steal a lot here at the supermarket” they added shortly after.
