The Chilean released a statement on his social media thanking him for his time on the North American tour. This Friday makes its petrodollar league debut.
Almost 24 hours after his arrival at LIV Golf was confirmed, Joaquín Niemann spoke for the first time on social media about his situation. He did so with a brief letter in which he thanked the PGA for the past four years and where he did not specify the reasons that led him to change sides.
“As is already common knowledge, I would like to share with you all my decision to be part of LIV Golf “Begins by saying the press release that the Chilean launched on his social networks this morning. A first sentence that does not go into detail on the motivations that caused this change or on his feelings after confirming his arrival on the new tour.
Something that can be understood by reading the rest of the text. More than a welcome to the LIV, Niemann’s was a farewell to the PGA, the Tour where he has competed for the past four years and where he has won two victories and established himself as one of the best golfers on the planet.
“I want to express my gratitude to the PGA Tour for all these years that I have been a part of it, as I will cherish the best memories of this stage with the players, managers, sponsors and fans with whom I have could share “, he expressed before concluding with a “thank you all for the love and support ”.
With those concise words, the Talagante native seems to have wrapped up his section on the North American tour, beginning his new leg at LIV. His official debut will be in Boston this Friday, in the league’s fourth round.
