Portuguese midfielder Gustavo Sá arrived in Athens on Wednesday afternoon, July 29, to formally complete his transfer to Olympiacos.

Sá is joining the Greek club for this season on loan from Nottingham Forest. What remains is for him to sign his contract with Olympiacos and for the move to be officially announced by the club.

First impressions
In his first comments after landing in Athens, Sá said he was very excited to be there and that it would be a great experience, adding that he knew he was joining the biggest club in Greece.

He said the fact that several Portuguese and Brazilian players he knew from the Portuguese league, including some he had faced as opponents, were already at the club played a major role in his decision to move to Olympiacos. He named Chiquinho, Jota and Carmo as players he knows.

Sá said he can play in the number 8 and number 10 positions and that he would do whatever the coach asked of him. He described himself as a very smart player who works for the team rather than thinking only of himself, calling those the best qualities in his game.
