Boxer Lee Reeves is in critical but stable condition in hospital after suffering a 10th-round knockout against Gary Cully at the 3Arena in Dublin on Saturday night. The bout for the BUI Celtic super-lightweight title came to an end when Cully landed a big left hand. Ringside staff treated Reeves with oxygen before stretchering him out of the ring and taking him to hospital for further checks.

Promoter Queensberry Promotions released a statement confirming that the fighter remains hospitalized. "Lee Reeves is still in hospital, in a critical but stable condition," Queensberry Promotions stated. "We will know more in the coming days, and our thoughts and prayers remain with Lee and his family."
Queensberry founder Frank Warren also published a statement on social media expressing support for Reeves. "All our thoughts and prayers are with Lee Reeves and his family at this time as he remains in hospital," Warren said. "Everyone at Queensberry is thinking of him and we're in constant contact with his team regarding his condition as we hope for positive news."
Gary Cully reaction
The victory improved Cully's record to 20-2, but the winning fighter turned his immediate focus to his opponent. "My prayers and thoughts are with Lee Reeves, hopefully he's OK," Cully said.
Cully praised the effort Reeves showed during the championship fight. "He came in there as a big underdog after fighting relatively at a lower level up until now," Cully said. "But he really showed that he can operate at a higher level. Huge credit to him."
