Greek club Olympiacos and Spanish side Getafe are interested in signing Uruguayan left back Matías Viña, according to South American media reports.
The 28-year-old defender, who holds an Italian passport, is currently on loan at River Plate from Flamengo through December. South American journalists reported that developments regarding his future could occur earlier than scheduled, noting that he is presently sidelined at River Plate.
Getafe negotiations and Olympiacos search
Getafe has opened negotiations with Flamengo for a 12-month loan deal with an option to buy. Olympiacos is also moving forward to acquire Viña as part of its search for a new left back.
Olympiacos previously made initial contact with Porto concerning Francisco Moura. Viña was linked to Olympiacos a month ago without further development, but reports indicate the Greek club has renewed its interest.
