Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov told that the organizers of the Friendship Games international competitions want to expand the program to other sports.
The Friendship Games are held in Kazan in three stages. Athletes from three water sports participate – swimming, synchronized swimming and diving.
— We want to broaden the range of sports at the Friendship Games. Doing complex competitions is always interesting, it’s practical from a logistics point of view. We already have requests from the federations we work with to include their sports in complex events. I won’t say yet what kind of sports it can be, but there are prospects in this direction, Leonov told .
