The new captain of Dynamo – about the match against Vorskla, how he shares the armband with Yarmolenko and the anniversary number of matches for the Kiev club
Midfielder Dynamo Vitaly Buyalsky commented on the victory over Vorskla (2:0), and also shared his thoughts about his new status and the future.
“The game was quite difficult. Vorskla has selected individually strong players who can take advantage of any moment. Therefore, we tried to play as compactly as possible in order to prevent our opponents from creating these chances.”
“There were no elections as such, I was simply given the captain’s armband in the locker room. Yarmolenko said that I should be captain, the whole team supported this. Now I am the captain on the football field, and Andrei is in the locker room.”
“First of all, more responsibility from me. Where you need to play more calmly, where you need to hold the ball when necessary, where you need to tell your partners, in other words, keep the team on its toes.”
“300 matches with Dynamo? Yes, I basically remember all the matches. Now I would like to rewind time. I remember as soon as I came to Dynamo Kiev, and here I am already 30 years old, and I have to think about what will happen after my football career. Another seven or eight years and my career will come to an end.”
Let us remind you that on September 18, in the match of the 7th round of the UPL, Dynamo beat Vorskla at home with a score of 2:0. Buyalsky scored an assist on Benito at the end of the meeting. This match was 30-year-old Vitaly’s 300th in the Kyiv club’s jersey.
Dynamo is in 7th place in the UPL with 9 points. At the same time, the Kiev team played only four matches. In the next round, Dynamo will meet LNZ on September 23.
