The head coach of the Russian figure skating team, Elena Chaikovskaya, told that the International Skating Union (ISU) council made a wrong decision by not considering the issue of admission of Russian athletes to international competitions.

Tchaikovskaya also serves as chairman of the coaching council of the Russian Figure Skating Federation.

The exclusion of Russian athletes from international competitions in figure skating, short track speed skating and speed skating has been in effect since 2022.
