Daria dramatically lost to her “neutral” opponent in the first set, and in the second game she was unable to make a comeback
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur got off to a bad start in the tournament ITF W100 in Spanish Cornell de Llobregat. In two sets, the Ukrainian lost to her “neutral” opponent Alina Charaeva.
The match lasted one hour and 21 minutes. Snigur led 2:0, but later the initiative was on her opponent’s side. Daria managed to win back a set point with the score 4:5, and then take the game to a tiebreaker. And there, in a fierce shootout, Charaeva gained the upper hand – 9:7.
The second set started extremely unsuccessfully for the tennis player from Ukraine – with two lost serves in a row. In the end, it was not possible to win back the resulting gap – in this game Snigur recorded only two games to her credit.
Let us remind you that in September Daria reached the quarterfinals of a tournament of a similar class in Portugal. In the updated WTA rankings, she rose to 123rd place.
