Los Cóndores end European friendly tour with loss to Ireland’s Leinster

After two weeks on the old continent, the national rugby team finds itself with a record of three falls and zero wins.

Los Cóndores say goodbye to the European tour with another loss. They were defeated without recourse against Leinster in Ireland and remain with a negative record after crossing the old continent. They have lost all three games they have played this month.

In the case of the duel against Leinster, one of the most important teams in Great Britain, the defeat was clear. The national team only managed to score three points in the game and fell by a heavy 40-3 . In any case, the objective of facing high-level teams has been achieved, since the players have been able to see the match they must reach to compete in the World Cup.

But compared to the numbers, the tour was not unexpected. Cóndores played three games and lost in all of them, the closest match being the one played on 5 November against Romania. On this occasion those led by Pablo Lemoine lost 23-30.

It was the first match of a tour which continued with a match against Tonga, selection which will also be present at the 2023 World Cup in France and that they beat Chile 13-3.

A stage across Europe which also begins to mark the end of a historic year for national rugby. In 2022, qualification for the XV World Cup was achieved, the best result of a seven-man World Cup and the possibility of hosting the World Series Challenge.
