A rugby and hockey club bets to be the first sustainable team in Chile

Cobs & Cogs, a cast that contributes with a significant number of Chilean teams, both in men’s rugby and in women’s field hockey, has signed an alliance with the Bettersport brand to improve the conditions of the planet.

The Bettersport brand and the rugby and hockey club Cobs & Cogs have signed an agreement, in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17 of the UN 2030 Agenda , with which they want to generate a sustainability strategy, where sports practice is developed in harmony with the care of the planet. In this agreement, according to what has been expressed by both parties, they seek to ensure that the sporting activities of the institution generate an impact in the community.

Josefina Foncea, Team General Manager assures that: “For us it is very important to join the path of sustainability and the global reality that we live. We want to educate our young people not only with sporting values ​​but also by instilling in them respect for others, for the environment, for gender equality, by training people with integrity and prepared for the challenges they face. in accordance with the objectives we have as a society”.

“We believe it is very relevant to generate impact and connection both in our community and in the sports habit, working in harmony with the planet and of our sidewalk contribute to change and how the elements of sustainability are managed in our industry,” he adds.

It should be noted that the club in question contributes with a significant number of Chilean teams, both in men’s rugby and in women’s field hockey. Rodrigo Fernández, Nicolás Garafulic and Matías Garafulic, Salvador Lues, Alfonso Escobar, Diego Escobar and Santiago Pedrero are among the Cóndores players active in the institution.
