France is celebrating at the end of the first date of the 128th edition of the Six Nations of Rugby. This, because the team led by Fabien Galthié beat Italy 37-10 at the Stade de France .

The tournament, which brings together Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, France and Italy, began in Dublin with the victory of the Irish against the Welsh. The latter, current champions and title holders, could not do much against those led by Andy Farrell.

Meanwhile, in Saturday’s other match, Scotland edged England in a close game.

Regarding the game, France was clearly superior to its counterpart, although the Italians put up fierce resistance. In fact, the gap, at the end of the first half, was not so big since the French won 18 to 10 .

However, in the second half, France raised the level and imposed their conditions to obtain a greater difference with an Italy which was not on the pitch and could not add more points .

In view of the second day of the championship, France will once again be local, this time against Ireland on February 12, and in the same stronghold as today, in Paris. On the same day, Wales will do the same at home to Scotland, looking to redeem themselves from defeat.

Finally, the meeting that will close the next date will be that of Italy and England. This time, on February 13, the Italians will try to turn things around at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
